blog love.

Kelle Hampton, I think I am in love with you.

"Enjoying the Small Things" is one of my favorite reads that I enjoy each afternoon on my laptop.  This incredibly creative, loving mother writes about her adventures in parenting, home decor, DIY projects, and mothering her daughter Lainey and baby Nella, a precious toddler with Down Syndrome.

Kelle wrote an entry a few days ago that really hit me.  I am still learning so much about writing and blogging and thought this is true of anyone with a family.

That's the beauty of blogging. Overall, anyone's life is large and intricate, layered with multiple feelings, experiences and moments, most of which are not captured with film or words but preserved in the infinite files of memory. And I like that--the challenge of selecting the most poignant reflections for me to look back on years later and yet the knowledge that there are the unshared moments as well. Just as precious. But just for us.  http://www.kellehampton.com/2011/06/few-of-many-moments.html
Today I read about her rainy summer (she lives in Florida and is battling stormy afternoons cooped up inside with her two girls) and loved this picture frame project she was describing --- how fun would this be in my new apartment?

I hope that one day I can create a childhood like this for my own children ---  I love how she lets them strip down to run through any fountain, puts down what she is working on to help them with chalk art on the sidewalk, and encourages them to explore every single thing around them. You should see the birthday parties she throws for these gals!  Amazing!

Seriously each time I read her entries, I see at least 5 pictures that I would frame in my living room - and I don't even know these people!  She takes BEAUTIFUL photos and also does awesome give-aways and posts about her sponsors - awesome jewelry, kids clothes, kitchenware, etc.  Her blog has great music and is such an inspiration to me in so many ways.

Thank you, Kelle, for your rich words and incredible ideas!
I hope you all enjoy her musings as much as I have been.
